Compiled by Riccardo Delmastro and Guido Noce, the book aims to be an opera omnia on the vertical ![]() geothermal probes. Tone informative but at the same time rigorous, integrated with some parts more technical and theoretical, are covered all the current issues related to geothermal probes to vertical. First, the manual is designed for use by the designer and installer, written by colleagues for colleagues with a view to disseminating knowledge often precluded a few specialists. The idea that drove the perpetrators, potentially in direct competition with a good slice of its readers to write their experiences and disseminate their know-how, is that the market of geothermal energy is currently expanding and large enough to absorb all operators who want to enter, provided they are maintained high standards and the technology is not burned from the mistakes of a few inexperienced. The other hand, the manual is a technical discussion of regulatory aspects, economic and ecological further describing the current status of geothermal energy in Italy. On the one hand believe that any human intervention on the biosphere is an interference environment and geothermal is not the panacea for all ills, but on the other aware that the introduction of this technology in air-conditioning can only bring benefits The authors propose to critically assess and highlight all of those objections, more or less reasonable, raised by customers and government, which had to meet over the years. Scientific approaches, they are sometimes referred to design and construction, but some issues are left open because they are still not addressed by the world literature. The two sides of the story and the different target readers are highlighted by the structure of four sections in which the book is divided. HISTORY AND DEVELOPMENT With particular attention to the reasons that led to the emergence and spread of low enthalpy geothermal energy in other European countries, we explore the topics related to the pay-back of plant and environmental benefits arising from their deployment. Target audience: users, public officials, business. THEORY AND TECHNOLOGY Geothermal energy is a highly multidisciplinary field, to address it, it is necessary to have knowledge of geology, geotechnical engineering, heat transfer, hydraulics, physics, technical and construction. This section attempts to give the geologist tools thermodynamics, Heat engineering and the instruments of geology. For each chapter is purely theoretical correspondent accompanied the technological strand, with the intention of showing that the constructive choices are a direct consequence of the theory that underlies it. Target audience: designers and professionals who want to get more. DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION Confront the issues of design and installation, without giving room for the unnecessary theorists who are making a book beautiful in appearance but very usable in practice, but face "head on" procedures, contracts, and "tricks "to perform work of quality at the lowest possible cost. Ample space is allocated to the errors seen in the yard, not to be repeated, and testing facilities. Target audience: designers, companies drilling Termotecniche, directors of business.
LI absent, local laws vary widely, technical regulations being discussed at European level: this is a summary of the current framework. All at the expense of the environment, diffusion of technology and safeguards for buyers and installers. The section addresses these issues proactively, on the one hand gives the means to travel between the government, the other aiming at stimulating the legislature by law to solutions that safeguard the environment without impeding the diffusion of environmentally sound technology but economically fragile to the high initial costs of investment. Target audience: planners, public officials. AUTHORS Guido Noce, a graduate in engineering for the environment and the territory at the Polytechnic of Turin, has assumed the role of construction manager and designer for various group companies, dealing with technological networks, power generation, remote control and heating technology and acquiring knowledge broad spectrum on the design aspects, construction and contract plants in general. For GEOenergia, followed the whole development of the geothermal field, from its inception. Currently acts as technical director of the company. |
